
The Marshall High School Debate Squad competed at the Carrollton Speech Tournament over the weekend, and several Marshall students performed well.
In Prose Reading, Aliesha Ernest took first place and Kady Dickson took second.
In Informative Speaking, Piper Brunson took second place, Pitcha Piangkaeo captured third, Caleb Wagner finished fourth, and Serenity Kays came in fifth.
In Original Works, Jasmine Davis took third and Katy Dickson finished in fifth.
In Poetry Reading, Serenity Kays placed fourth, and Andrew Dittmar came in sixth.
The next tournament for the squad will be at William Chrisman High School in December.
