Marshall City Administrator JD Kehrman talked about the unofficial grant award for the city’s TAP sidewalk project Nov 22, at the most recent city council meeting.

It was discussed that the city was planning on bringing sidewalks onto Miami street and other nearby areas in town. The project would also help construct a better platform for an enlarged concrete area for school kids to wait for the bus officially on the corner of Miami.

The project also proposed a more convenient access for powered chair’s going into Break-Time near the west side where the grassy area is now. Kehrman also thanked the local supporters and business who had sent letters of support to the city. Kerhrman says although they have not gotten the official paperwork it has been communicated that the Marshall was awarded the grant.
