The Slater City Council passed a bill to transfer the city’s ball fields to the Slater School District during its meeting on Tuesday, November 22.

City Administrator Gene Griffith said the transfer includes the lot with the ball fields.

The council approved the bill to transfer the property over to the school.

In other news, the council considered submitting for a climate pollution reduction grant. The council discussed this grant during a previous meeting, but decided to table the matter until the beginning of 2024.
