James Rea Satterlee, 78, of Lee’s Summit, MO, died peacefully Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.

James was born on October 12, 1945 in San Diego, California.  He was the son of Richard W. Satterlee and Ruth Rea Satterlee formerly of Marshall, MO.  James lived his life in the greater Kansas City area, and loved every major Landmark in the city. He had a passion for classic cars, buses, trains and street cars.  His hobbies included listening to music on his stereo and watching game shows, especially “The Price Is Right”.  James had an endearing personality and was very polite in word and deed to everyone he knew.  He was courageous to the very end.

Survivors include his two cousins, Anne Rea of Marshall, his Guardian, and Pam Rea Griffin of Fernandina Beach, Florida.
