Chester Wayne “Bosco” Johnson Jr., 70, of Marshall, MO, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home in Sedalia, MO.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born April 23, 1953, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Chester Johnson and Nora Bacon Brame. He graduated from Marshall High School and worked as a laborer in construction as well as serving in the United States Army.  Bosco enjoyed watching science fiction movies and listening to music, especially The Beatles. Anyone who knew him also knew he would never turn down sweets.

Chester is survived by one daughter, Sarah Johnson of Marshall; one stepson, Justin Hirt (Katherine) of Miami, MO; three step-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jaden and Silver Hirt; his wife, Cheryl Johnson; and two half- sisters, Charese Quigley and Denise Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his grandparents; half-sister, Celeste Jean Johnson; and half-brother, Jeffrey Brame.
