The City of Sedalia is hosting the 43rd annual Christmas Light contest in December.

Participants have a chance to win one of three cash prizes. The first place winner will be awarded $100, second place receives $50 and third place receives $25.

Each home’s holiday decorations will be judged from the street view based on lighting, eye appeal, originality and overall appeal.

Applications will be accepted no later than noon on Monday, December 11. Judging will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12.

The contest is confined to the city limits. City employees are not eligible to participate in this contest.
