Carol E. Swigert, 72, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at her home.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.  Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born September 5, 1951, in Lafayette County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Wood and Juanita Pattison Wood.  Carol lived in Marshall most of her life where she was a 1969 graduate of Marshall High School and a 1998 graduate of the LPN program at Saline County Career Center.  She worked at International Shoe Factory, ConAgra Foods and then retired from Marshall Habilitation Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Shanon Topel of Kirksville and Lisa Miller of rural Slater; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers: Tom Wood of Boonville, Jack Wood of Higginsville and Curtis Wood of Higginsville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard Wood, Billy Joe Wood and Rex Wood.
