The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested a subject who had six active warrants during a traffic stop on Monday, December 4.

According to the department, a deputy noticed a vehicle that had an illegal license plate cover and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Shawn Crowley, who admitted to being a convicted felon with six active warrants for his arrest.

Crowley’s driving privileges are actively suspended in Missouri.

Crowley allegedly had a firearm on his person during the time of the arrest. The firearm was reported stolen out of Kansas City. Authorities also searched the vehicle and located a container with fentanyl and other pills.

Court documents say Crowley has been charged with felonies for unlawful possession of a firearm, stealing, and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only.
