The Saline County Commission approved a motion to accept grand funds into the county budget during its meeting on Wednesday, December 6.

Presiding Commissioner Becky Plattner said the commission received a letter from the Emergency State Management Agency regarding an Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG).

The total award amount was $21,225.92. The commission accepted the funds into the budget.

In other news, commissioners approved a request from the Saline County Fair Association for use of the court house lawn. The association is holding their annual barbecue on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
