The Slater City Council approved the 2024 budget during its meeting on Tuesday, December 5.

City Administrator Gene Griffith says the city is operating on a budget of about $6.1 million, including grants and extra funding. Griffith also says there are a lot of projects the city is hoping to accomplish in 2024.

In other news, the council will not meet on December 19, 2023 and January 2, 2024. The council’s next meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2024.
