The Sedalia Police Department arrested a subject for drug-related felonies after a traffic stop on December 13.

According to the department, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired temporary tag. Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Michelle Bailey, who appeared nervous during the interaction.

Officers found a razor blade with a white crystal substance in plain view, which prompted authorities to search Bailey and her vehicle.

Police allegedly located several small baggies with a white crystal residue, a glass smoking apparatus with white residue, a digital scale, and several empty baggies.

Bailey is reportedly on probation and parole for burglary in the second degree and distribution of a controlled substance. She also has four prior drug arrests.

Bailey has been charged with two felonies for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
