The Saline County Commissioners met in regular session on December 20.

In business that was brought before the commission, Saline County Sheriff Cindi Mullins, submitted a request for a tax extension vote on the ballot for the upcoming election.

This tax was previously put in place in 2017, but it Sunset.

The request is that the remaining 1/8th cent sales tax for the entire county be permanently placed.

The purpose of this would be providing revenues for the operation of the Jail and Justice Center.

The commission motioned to pass the request.
