
The Sedalia Police Department arrested two subjects in a stolen vehicle on December 21.
According to a probable cause statement, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Cody Booth and Lisa Frasher.
A records check on Booth revealed that he was a suspect in a motor vehicle theft in Independence. They were driving the stolen vehicle as well.
Authorities searched the vehicle and found a glass smoking pipe and white residue the field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Booth told authorities that he purchased the vehicle from a subject in Independence. He did not have a title.
Booth and Frasher have been charged with felonies for possession of a controlled substance. Booth was also charged with a felony for tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree. His bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.
