CAROLYN A. (MOORE) WADHWANI

 

Carolyn Ann (Moore) Wadhwani, 70, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023. She was born on December 8, 1953, in Marshall, Missouri and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crossett.

 

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Pastor Matt Arni officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until

2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested the charity of the donor’s choice.

 

A graduate of Slater High School in 1971, Carolyn pursued her academic interests and earned a bachelor’s degree in art education from Central Missouri State University. Her love for the arts became a lifelong pursuit that she would later share with students and fellow community members.

 

In 2014, Carolyn retired from Hood Packaging, leaving behind a successful career. However, her commitment to her community did not waver. She co-founded “Friends of the Crossett Community” and “Friends of the Zoo,” organizations that aimed to enhance and uplift the community spirit. Carolyn also played a pivotal role in bringing carnivals back to Crossett, creating joyous memories for generations to come.

 

Her dedication extended beyond community organizations. Carolyn served as a former Boy Scout Den Mother for her son’s troop and contributed to education as a substitute teacher in the Crossett School System for numerous years.

 

In addition to her professional and community achievements, Carolyn showcased her artistic flair as a floral designer for Jones Flower Shop for many years, bringing beauty and joy to countless occasions.

 

Carolyn Ann Wadhwani will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a dedicated community advocate, and a talented artist.

 

Along with her parents Fred Harold and Betty Lou Morrison Moore, she is preceded in death by one brother, Freddie Ray Moore.

 

She leaves behind her husband of fifty years, Ravi Wadhwani; one son, Shaan Wadhwani (Alison) of Spanish Fort, AL; and one sister, Mary Kathryn Pycke (Rodger) of Slater, MO; along with sister-in-law, Joyce Moore of Kansas City, MO; and two grandchildren, Hayes and Emma.
