On December 24, the Richmond Police Department was dispatched to a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, police overheard a female shouting for help.

As police made entry into the residence, they noticed a victim sitting in the kitchen area in emotional distress.

The victim claimed the suspect was getting away. Police then were able to exit the residence and find the suspect identified as 31-year-old Stefan Western.

Western led police on a foot pursuit, but was detained by authorities.

Police were able to question the victim, and gathered that Western was intoxicated and shoving her into a corner.

The victim also stated that Western refused to let them leave the residence.

After physical observation and questioning, police also noted that there was visible scratches and redness on the victim’s neck and arms.

Police stated that while taking Western into custody, they had a physical altercation with him.

Western is being charged with two count of Domestic assault in the third degree, kidnapping in the 3rd degree, and resisting arrest

Western is in custody, and no bond is set.
