A New Year’s altercation prompted the Sedalia Police Department’s response to a disturbance involving 29-year-old Elmer Goicochea.

Upon arrival, officers found Goicochea with visible injuries allegedly sustained during a physical altercation inside a vehicle with another victim.

After further interview with the victim, police gathered that the incident involved Goicochea and a witness identified as the victim’s brother ‘Juan’, who corroborated Goicochea’s aggression.

Consequently, despite denying the allegation of hitting his partner, Goicochea was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th degree.

His bond has been set at $1,500.
