The Marshall Fire Department responded to a residential fire during the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 10.

Fire department personnel were dispatched to 503 North Jefferson Avenue at 6:33 a.m. Three vehicles and five personnel responded to the scene.

All occupants of the residence were outside when personnel arrived. It took the fire department a little less than an hour to clear the scene.

About $3,000 in damages were done to the property. The fire was believed to be caused by an electrical failure or malfunction.
