The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen heard a presentation from Sweet Springs Historical Society Vice President Brenda Hinck during its meeting on Monday, January 8.

According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, Hinck reported that the Historical Society secured a $7,000 Buckner Grant.She also reported that the historical Society would be hosting the Spring Grounds Revelation Tour on May 4, 2024 at the city park. Hinck requested that the streets in the park be closed on that day so the people attending could walk freely without traffic driving through.

After some discussion, aldermen agreed to close the street in the park from Friday, May 3 through 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4.
