The Slater City Council approved a Missouri Public Utility Alliance Mutual Aid Agreement during its meeting on Tuesday, January 16.

City Administrator Gene Griffith explained that the agreement helps the city get funding whenever there is excessive storm damage to the city.

The council approved the agreement.

In other news, Mayor Terry Jordan reminded the public of the upcoming April election. Filing ended in December 2023. The Mayor’s seat will be on the ballot, as well as a council seats in Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3, and two seats in Ward 4.
