Two Marshall residents were injured in a Lafayette County crash on Tuesday, January 23.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Miguel Ramirez-Carranza became disabled in the roadway, causing a a truck traveling northbound to strike the front of Ramirez-Carranza’s vehicle.

Ramirez-Carranza and a passenger in the vehicle were taken to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The passenger was identified as 34-year-old Carla Gonsales Lopez.

The accident occurred at 5:11 a.m. on Route Z in Lafayette County.
