
Albert W. Wienberg, 88, of Concordia, MO, died Saturday, January 20, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Private family memorial services are under the direction of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Concordia Fire District and an online guestbook is available at ww.campbell-lewis.com.
Born November 13, 1935, in Warrensburg, MO, he was the son of the late Ervin Wienberg and Irma Pragman Wienberg; and was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School. On February 2, 1957, he married Mary Jolene Kirchhoff who survives of the home. Albert lived in Concordia for over 60 years where he worked at Curt and Karol’s Heating and Cooling. He was an active in the community where he served on the city council for many years and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he was an usher. Albert enjoyed going to the races, helping his son maintain his race car, and country cruising with Jolene. He was a master landscaper of his son’s farm and known for building things from scratch. Albert simply found happiness in being helpful to his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Jolene; survivors include two children, Stephen Wienberg (Deborah) and Linda McBroom (Daniel); three grandchildren: Shannon Wienberg (Kristy), Amber Boyle (Micah) and Tennessee McBroom (Dodie); three great-grandchildren: Bronco and Cricket McBroom and Brooks Hamilton; two sisters, Janet Miller and Marion Grace; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
