A Chillicothe man was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 65, south of Route M in Carroll County Thursday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just after 6 a.m. when a southbound vehicle driven by Tyler M. Gibson, 31, reportedly changed lanes into oncoming traffic and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Lucas Sanders, 26, of Carrollton.

Another northbound vehicle, driven by Jonathan Lea, 37, of Slater, reportedly hit the rear of Gibson’s vehicle, causing it to run off the right side of the road and strike a ditch.

Sanders and Lea were not injured, but Gibson was transported to North Kansas City Hospital with moderate injuries.
