Yesterday afternoon a single-vehicle accident occurred, resulting in moderate injuries to a 17-year-old driver hailing from Marshall, Missouri. The incident occurred on eastbound Mount Olive Road, west of Magnolia Avenue, around 3:00 p.m.

Reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver, operating a 2000 Chevrolet S10, veered off the road’s right side, colliding with a ditch, subsequently causing the vehicle to overturn. The juvenile driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries.

Responders from Saline County EMS transported the injured driver to University Hospital in Columbia for medical attention.
