The Saline County Career Center announced that Carris Hunt, a practical nursing student from Marshall, has won the United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship.
Hunt was selected from applicants across the nation for this award.
The United Health Foundation is working to cultivate a more diverse health workforce ready to deliver high quality, culturally competent care to all communities. Applicants are required to hold an active license/certificate (such as CNA) to practice in a clinical health career and be enrolled in an academic degree program to advance their current clinical credentials.
Hunt received a check for $3,200 to be used toward tuition and books.
