The Animal Shelter in the City of Marshall has officially obtained its license and is now operational.

The shelter will be open to the public from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday, and appointments can be scheduled for Sunday and Monday.

Shelter hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can reach the shelter during operating hours at 660-831-0420, and after hours at 660-886-7411.

For those interested in adopting an animal, simply pre-pay at a veterinarian for the spay or neuter procedure and rabies vaccination of your prospective pet.

Bring the necessary documents from your veterinarian to the shelter to complete the adoption process.

There are no adoption fees; only the specified documentation is required.
