According to a statement from the Department of Justice, Floyd H. Kronk III, aged 48,  owner of Transition Construction of Sedalia, has been found liable for $136,000 in employment taxes.

The company, which had between six to fifteen employees, had federal income tax withholding deducted from their paychecks by Kronk.

However, he failed to file employment tax returns on time and neglected to deposit any of the withheld trust fund taxes.

The statement indicates that Kronk withheld a total of $135,785 from his employees’ paychecks between 2014 and 2017.

Additionally, there was a tax loss attributed to Kronk’s actions during “relevant conduct” from 2011 to 2013, totaling $69,280.
