The Slater City Council approved several bills during its meeting on Tuesday, February 6.
The council approved bills to raise the cost for street cuts and cemetery regulations. The cost for street cuts was raised from $2.50 to $3.50.
The cost for cemetery regulations also went up by $50. For example, the cost for cremations went up from $300 to $350.
In other news, the council wanted to inform residents to not be alarmed by high energy bills for this month. The bills reflect energy usage back in December and early-January, when temperatures were dipping below zero.
