
On February 7th, Lepoleon Redmond, Jr. was found guilty of the class A felony of trafficking in the first degree for possessing over 1000 grams of cocaine with the intent to distribute, deliver, or sell the controlled substance. following a day and a half long jury trial litigated by Lafayette County Prosecuting Attorney, Kristen Hilbrenner.
The jury deliberated for less than an hour before reaching their verdict. Charges were filed after Sgt. Robert McGinnis with the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle the defendant was driving and located a kilo of cocaine.
More information regarding the stop and subsequent search leading to the arrest of the defendant will be provided following his formal sentencing.
