This year, 29 Saline County Career Center DECA students participated at district-level competition in UMKC on February 7, 2024. There will be 12 members who will be moving on to compete at the state level, which will be held March 3-5, 2024 at Westin Crown Center in Kansas City.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. These students competed in a variety of events for a chance to represent their district at the State Career Development Conference. The SCCC DECA students who received recognition on Wednesday include Avery Evans, Michelle Lin, Bailey Kueker, Gentrie Davis, Kaylen Alvarez, Peyton Marshall, Trevor Watkins, Eternity Lawson, Ethan Russell, Jackson Russell, and Cheyann Norman.

The following two students not recognized at competition, but will compete with the group:

-Kolten Gotmer-Business Finance Services
