The city of Windsor has received a $5.4 million grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for wastewater treatment upgrades, with a total project cost of $6.2 million, slated for completion by May 2025.

These upgrades will improve treatment facilities and the collection system, aiming to cease discharges to Elm Branch and enhance wastewater quality.

Funding includes a $3.2 million loan, a $2.25 million grant, and an $803,293 city contribution, saving ratepayers $2.2 million in principal and $1.1 million in interest.

Governor Parson emphasizes the importance of infrastructure, while Director Buntin highlights the department’s commitment to assisting communities, including Windsor.
