Richmond Police Department detectives are actively pursuing leads in connection with a shooting incident that occurred late Monday night.

The incident took place around 8:45 p.m. on February 19, 2024, in the 300 block of West Buchanan Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, RPD officers found a man who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The victim was swiftly taken to a hospital in the Kansas City area due to the severity of his injuries.

The primary focus remains on locating the suspect, identified as Darren Lee Tackett (white male, born on December 3, 1989), who is considered armed and dangerous.
