The Concordia Board of Aldermen voted to forgive water bill penalty fees for the month of February during its meeting on Tuesday, February 20.
City Administrator Dale Klussman said that most Concordia consumers didn’t get their bills until February 9. Bills were sent out at the end of January, but arrived late through the mail. Klussman recommended that the board wave the delinquency fees for all water customers, whether their bills have been paid or not.
Klussman also said that shut-offs have been pushed back to Monday, February 26. Notices have been sent out, but Klussman said the city will not interrupt service until Monday.
