The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office notes a recent increase in fentanyl-related overdose deaths in the community.

Individuals dealing with addiction are advised to seek immediate assistance, while everyone is encouraged to educate their acquaintances about the dangers of fentanyl and its potentially fatal effects.

Efforts are underway to prevent further tragedies and provide support to those in need. Information on education and linkage to care programs is available at Recovery Lighthouse, Time2Act Missouri, and 988 Lifeline.

Additionally, the documentary “Dead on Arrival” offers further insight into the fentanyl epidemic. Your cooperation in raising awareness about this issue is appreciated.
