On the evening of Saturday, February 24th, around 7:27 PM, Sedalia Missouri police officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the 1000 block of State Fair Boulevard.

Upon their arrival, they encountered an individual wielding a knife, leading to a confrontation between the officers and the suspect.

During the altercation, both officers sustained injuries, and gunfire ensued, resulting in the fatal shooting of the suspect at the scene.

The officers were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. At the behest of the Sedalia police chief, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control has initiated an investigation into the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
