The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is currently accepting applications for Source Water Protection Project grants until May 15, 2024.
These grants offer up to $25,000 in reimbursement funding for eligible community public water systems that rely on raw water sources for drinking water production.
The department aims to assist qualified systems in managing and safeguarding their raw water sources while raising awareness about the importance of source water protection.
Eligible projects include implementing source water protection plans, as well as developing or revising them.
Applications received by March 31 will be competitively ranked and prioritized for funding, while those received after April 1 may be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis if funds are still available.
