
The Slater School District Board of Education approved several action items during its meeting on Monday, February 26.
The board approved a motion for the 2024-2025 Health Insurance Plans, as well as a motion to approve the purchase for a new ice machine from Central Restaurant.
The board also approved a motion to add sixth grade students to the MSHSAA junior high track season. Superintendent Terry Lorenz said that the school’s track numbers were down this year, so they decided to add sixth grade students to the team, which includes seventh and eighth graders as well.
In other news, attendance number were reported for the Elementary and High School. Elementary attendance was reported at 92.4 percent. The high school attendance was at 91.6 percent.
