A wind advisory is scheduled to be in effect until 3 a.m. Wednesday, February 28.

Northwest winds of 20 t0 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

The advisory is in effect in Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Lafayette, Howard, Johnson, and Pettis counties in the KMMO listening area.
