In response to the recent closure of the bridge over the railroad tracks on Washington Street in the City of Sedalia, the Pettis County Commission has made a significant commitment to assist with the urgent infrastructure issue.

The bridge over Washington Street, which is within the jurisdiction of the City of Sedalia, is a lifeline for Pettis County residents, connecting families to their loved ones, students to school, workers to their jobs, goods to stores, and providing critical access and evacuation routes in case of an emergency.

The Pettis County Commission has taken decisive action and is pleased to announce that Pettis County is allocating up to $200,000 to the City of Sedalia towards the repair of the bridge.
