On February 29, 2024, at approximately 4:00 PM, Lexington Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the garden apartments. Upon arrival, they discovered one individual outside, requiring life-saving measures administered by the officers. Additionally, another male was found deceased inside an apartment.

Two males fled the scene initially but were apprehended shortly afterward. Due to the age of those involved, there is limited information that can be disclosed at this time.
