A fatal crash was reported in Lafayette County on Friday, March 1.

The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Gary Starke stopped to make a left turn in the northbound lane on Missouri 13. A vehicle behind Starke struck the rear of his vehicle, pushing him into the southbound lane, where he was struck by an oncoming southbound vehicle.

Starke was pronounced deceased by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department. The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. on Missouri 13 in Lafayette County.
