The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved several motions during its meeting on Monday, March 4.

It was announced during the meeting that City Treasurer Carol Mueller would be retiring from the city in May 2024. The board then reviews the job description and adopted a salary schedule for the position. This is a board appointed position. The board will hold a special meeting on April 11 at 6 p.m. to meet the interviewees.

The board also approved a motion to request permission to award a contract for the removal of trees in Concordia Park for an amount not to exceed $5,000. City Administrator Dale Klussman explained that any bid for tree removal that was under the $5,000 limit could be approved without a vote from the board, but if the bids exceeded that limit, it would take approval from the aldermen.
