During the regular session on March 6, the Marshall City Council reviewed the Public Relations and Public Safety Committee report, which highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance safety at the Odell and Morrow intersection.

This project joins the other intersection projects that have been mentioned in previous City Council meetings, aiming to address safety concerns across various areas of the city.

The report reiterated that three intersections are currently under scrutiny for safety revisions, including College and Odell, College and Miami, and Odell and Morrow.

At the College and Odell intersection, prioritization has been given to addressing crosswalk safety concerns, with plans to commence work upon receipt of bids. Meanwhile, crosswalk improvements at the College and Miami intersection are slated for completion by 2026, as indicated by MODOT.

Additionally, the report emphasized the need for reconfiguration at the Odell and Morrow intersection due to safety issues. Despite awaiting an official plan, prompt action will be taken to address the concerns, with this initiative joining the ongoing efforts outlined in previous City Council meetings.
