The Odessa Police Department advises that this afternoon, beginning around 2:00 pm, there will be significant traffic delays due to the funeral procession for fallen Independence Police Department Officer Cody Allen passing through Odessa.

Roads and intersections will be closed, affecting traffic flow for several hours. It is recommended that drivers take alternate routes to avoid congestion, particularly around areas such as Old 40 Hwy and North Johnson Drive in Odessa.

The procession will enter Odessa from eastbound I-70 en route to the Odessa Cemetery.
