police-arrest-2

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a subject on March 8.

According to a probable cause statement, a deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Holden in regard to a domestic assault. The deputy made contact with the victim, who claimed that Garrett Schroeder pushed the victim down multiple times. Schroeder also allegedly destroyed the victim’s phone, as their couch, computer, and televisions.

Several witnesses in the residence attempted to separate the victim and Schroeder after their argument became physical.

Law enforcement allegedly heard Schroeder state three separate times that he was going to kill the victim with a gun. Deputies observed bruises on the victim’s elbows and red marks under the victim’s eye. Schroeder attempted to resist arrest, but was taken into custody.

Court documents say Schroeder has been charged with felonies for domestic assault in the third degree, property damage in the first degree, and resisting arrest for a felony. Bond was set at $15,000 cash only with conditions.

No court dates have been set at this time.
