The Saline County Commission approved several agenda items during its meeting on Wednesday, March 13.

Commissioners started by approving the promotion of Rodney Nick Smith to Communications Supervisor for the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. The commission also approved the transfer of Laura Ryan to the County Collector’s office. Ryan will serve as the administrative assistant to Collector Cindi Sims.

The commission also approved an agreement with APEX Energy Resources to manage natural gas. The bid was for $0.10 per mcf and will be included in the supplier cost of natural gas.

Also, the commission approved a request from the Marshall Public Schools Social Work Team to place pinwheels on the courthouse lawn for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The pinwheels will be placed on Friday, April 5.
