The Marshall High School Debate Squad competed in the Heart of America National Tournament Qualifier recently.

Andrea Gooden placed 10th in Informative Speaking. There were 50 entries in that category.

Piper Brunson placed 21st, and Kristine Morales placed 22nd in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. There 73 entries in Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Top four finishers in each event qualify to the National Tournament. The squad’s next competition will be the Central District Debate Tournament.
