Fannie Mae Warner, age 83, of Waverly, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Apple Ridge Nursing Center, Waverly, Missouri.
She was the daughter of Elson & Mary (Ware) Lichtenthaler, born February 22, 1941, in Waverly, Missouri.
In her youth she loved to roller skate, played basketball, and was a straight A student in high school. Fannie graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1959.
Fannie started dating Phil Warner (her Honey), the love of her life, at the age of fifteen. On June 16, 1961, they were married. Their love continued to grow until his passing in April of 2021. They were married for 59 years.
She was a secretary at the Santa Fe High School for years. Fannie also served as the Tax collector for multiple terms. She also served as the Waverly City Clerk until her retirement. But her main career was a stay-at-home mom raising their children and helping run the “Riverview Farm.” The family home had an open-door policy and throughout the years they took in people when they needed a safe place to live.
When it was time to relax, she loved being down at the farm with her Honey, Phil, watching the river, having BBQs, and being with her family. Fannie loved family float trips with her brother and sister. She also enjoyed her trips to Florida. Most of all, Fannie loved her husband more than anything in the world. She missed her Honey and wanted to be with him in heaven.
Fannie is survived by her children, Spencer Warner and Chandra Everet; grandchildren, Coen and Laci Warner, and Taylor Everett; brother Ben (Dona) Lichtenthaler of Warrensburg, Missouri, sister Jo (Les) Spells, Waverly, Missouri.
She is preceded by her parents, husband, and sister Dorothea Kindle.
