A Sedalia motorist sustained injuries while trying to steer clear of a crash on Route 65, just south of 52 Hwy on Saturday.

According to Highway Patrol reports, Cheryl Ellison, aged 46, was driving a vehicle that swerved off the road, striking a sign and wooden post, as she attempted to avoid another car that had encroached into her lane.

Ellison was taken to Bothwell Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
