On the April ballot in Saline County there is a question regarding an extension of a tax originally introduced in 2017, which has since expired.

The proposed extension seeks to permanently allocate a 1/8th cent sales tax for the operation of the Saline County Jail and Justice Center.

The Saline County Commission has granted approval and endorsement for this tax extension. This a renewal of an existing tax, rather than the introduction of a new one.
