A man from Cooper County has been charged with second- degree drug trafficking and other offenses following a traffic stop on March 30. Preston Cramer, aged 19, was apprehended during a traffic stop on Saturday after Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers allegedly observed him driving approximately 20 miles per hour over the speed limit.

According to court documents, a Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper signaled for him to pull over using their lights, and Cramer came to a complete stop in the middle of the right-hand lane. Troopers noticed that he appeared lethargic and was slow to respond to questions but complied when asked to sit in the patrol vehicle with them.

Cramer reportedly failed a field sobriety test and allegedly admitted that there were fentanyl pills in the center console of his car. A probable cause statement indicated that 56 pink and black pills, weighing approximately 9 grams, were discovered in Cramer’s vehicle.

Cramer was arrested and booked into Callaway County Jail with a $50,000 bond. Cramer has been charged with second-degree drug trafficking, driving while intoxicated, failure to park the vehicle near the right-hand side of the highway as practicable, and exceeding the posted speed limit by 16-19 mph.
